They Snooze you Lose by Burmark - Chapter 9

Emotions, everybody have emotions! And in this chapter we learned how to tapping emotions into our presentations. First of all, the presenter needs to be aware that he transfers his emotions to the public. So, if we as teachers want our students to be motivated about a topic, we need to pass that emotion on to them while explaining the content of the lesson. In our presentations, instead of using just statistics or probability, we may use pictures to engage our students in the topic and make them emotional towards what we need to say. Teachers also need to be conscious that students’ emotions also interfere their learning. If a student is currently passing trough terrible situations at home, he or she will be unable to concentrate at school. Educator’s feelings will radiate in the classroom and our students will be able to feel what it is in our heart; if you really love and care for them, you do not have to tell them, they will feel it and sense it in the air. I need to take advantage of this opportunity to transmit positive, optimistic and constructive feelings to my students that will help them, not only to pass the class, but to become better persons.
